OVERVIEW:
Back in March the Mash and Journey Whiskey Club got to select its first Jack Daniel’s barrel proof, single barrel selection for the club! We recruited a special group of Jack Daniel’s fans to help us including Cliff from Bourbon Bytes to help with his first single barrel selection. As the night went on the choices leaned toward Barrel 22003, but Jason from the Mash and Drum and Bret wanted barrel 22004. 22003 won the day but after some serious deliberation, Jack Daniel’s was kind enough to give us both barrels! They are different but unquestionably Jack Daniel’s.

TASTING NOTES:
- Nose: Chocolate-covered raspberries, barrel char, marshmallows, toasted coconut, and cinnamon,
- Palate: More rich dark chocolate & red raspberries, rickhouse oak, sweet tobacco, and a hint of burnt orange peel. The heat has tamed down from when we initially tasted it.
- Finish: A hint of that fresh banana nut bread, rye spice, tobacco and burnt orange.
