2XO The Sneakerhead Blend Straight Bourbon Whiskey – By Dixon Dedman (750 ml)
2XO’s latest blend is a nod to master blender Dixon Dedman’s passion for sneaker culture. While the exact recipe remains a secret, it follows the same formula as other blends in the Icon Series, combining two Kentucky bourbons from different distilleries, one of which has a high-rye mashbill. As with previous releases, a portion of the 6-year-old high-rye bourbon is finished in new oak barrels with No. 3 and No. 4 char.
What sets 2XO apart is its emphasis on oak’s influence on whiskey, which Dedman approaches in various ways. The ongoing Oak Series gains its flavor from charred oak pieces threaded through stainless steel chains and inserted into the barrel during maturation, highlighting Dedman’s innovative approach to oak aging.
